Post-Project Zero Report from Canada

Hi y'all!  Winter is preparing to descend on us here in Calgary, just as I am sure most of you are sipping cold drinks in the shade to avoid the heat!

I wanted to share this link to my Music Education blog at work. I posted daily while at PZC and am  using ideas from it as we move forward.  Check out my blog posts on sketching in a music museum! Things are getting very busy as we are preparing to break ground on the National Music Centre and I am just starting to work with my team on training for the school year. I keep thinking of my big question "How can I ignite a passion for education in my team?" No major break throughs yet, but lots of little ones (including me-- finally learning how to use iMovie!)...

(This is a video trailer for our popular Grade 3 Science program)

(Our Grade Two Social Studies program on Canadian Music and Culture)

If you have any tips (focus questions etc..) for encouraging active listening in students, I'd love to hear them. I am working on a document to help teachers  scaffold (nice PZ word!) their students' listening skills and prepare them for their visits to our centre.  Hope all is well and happy and healthy with everyone! Would love to know what you all are working on in real life and in teaching life!
